What size of cam can I run?

Question type: Car Customization

Alright so i have a sbc 383 with camel
hump 202 heads and a 4 barrel
carb/intake. I was wondering what's the
biggest cam I can run with a 1000-1500
stall converter? Is a 3/4 cam too big to
run?

I would go with a 260 or 250 Duration Cam. Unless you are building High RPM engine it doesn't pay. You could always get the ThumpR Cam to give it a lobey sound!
