trunk wont open on my 86 190 e mercedes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The trunk has always been unlocked and the key i have for it does not work to
open it. HELP how can I get the trunk open to change the locking mechanism!!

did some contaminant get on the trunk seal? in fact "gluing" it in place? if it's stuck, try a little soap and water to Unstick cleaning all the mating surfaces~ most likely the mechanism is okay, just is literally "sticking" into position....just check the sticky-ness~ maybe you'll be okay with a bit of a clean-up~
