I was told that my sunroof does not have drain holes because it was an add-on. Is this true? I thought all sunroofs have drains holes but when a mechanic looked for them he said they did not exist because it is an add-on not one that was manufactured with the making of the vehicle. Well, it leaks. Is there anything I can do to stop the leak? I would appreciate any help while I'm getting wet. :-) 3 Answers

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with the 4.7. The plugs for the 4.7 have a reach of 3/4". I believe my mechanic may have installed the plugs for the 5.7 hemi which are 1" in reach. My truck went into the shop perfectly fine and came out with the engine knocking. Is it possible that the 1/4" difference in length caused the pistons to strike the longer, incorrect plugs hence, that caused the knock? The shop admitted to me that the wrong plugs had been ordered. When asked if it was possible that they may have installed the incorrect ones, they told me that the thread size wasn't the same. Well, truth be told, it is the same size thread. Thanks for any input! 2 Answers

Hello - I have a question for all the Subaru experts if you could please. I was planning to buy a 2011 Outback tonight, 95K miles. What I found out today is making me question the investment. After reading about the CVT issues, I started digging and confirmed that this Outback did have an issue just a few months ago and SOA confirmed the CVT in this vehicle has a 24K or 24 month warranty since it was replaced with a remanufactered (NOT REBUILD) CVT under warranty. So, should I buy it and have peace of mind that the CVT issues have been addressed and maybe I'll get 100k miles out of it or walk away? Can't afford a new one, so was looking for exactly this price range - I think I should happy at this news since the known CVT problems have been addressed but could I be getting into a money pit. Thanks for any helpful feedback! 1 Answer
