My 2000 Grand Am keeps stalling when pulling away from stop lights.Code P0440 which is an evaporative leak was previously showing before I reset it. I wouldn't think this would cause this to happen but is it possible?Or any ideas what else might cause this?

i have a 2000 mazda 626 lx. the knob to control the temperature swings freely from hot to cold without any form of resistance whatsoever. i assume its supposed to offer some form of resistance it i want to turn it from red(heat) to blue(cold), but it just swings freely. i think something must be broken. i tried to pull it out, but its hopeless. i don't want to break something else. the reason i'm asking this is because my heater is not working and this little problem might or might not be the reason. thanks for your help. 1 Answer

I was told that my sunroof does not have drain holes because it was an add-on. Is this true? I thought all sunroofs have drains holes but when a mechanic looked for them he said they did not exist because it is an add-on not one that was manufactured with the making of the vehicle. Well, it leaks. Is there anything I can do to stop the leak? I would appreciate any help while I'm getting wet. :-) 3 Answers

I have a 2004 Dodge Durango. While driving, I lost all power to the wheels, yet all electrical and engine seemed to be operating. Pulled over, and it would not move , regardless of what gear I put it in ( N, R, D, 1, 2 ) My first guess is the transmission went out, but could there be a sensor or other cause for this. 1998 S10 lack of power when going up a steep bridge at 70mph slowly lost speed even when I gave it more gas nothing happened. It blows white steam like smoke that disappears instantly. There is also water coming from tailpipe i know there will be some water but it seems to be a little more than normal. Any ideas on what could be the cause and how to repair this problem .
