Check for a vacuum leak, they make a smoke kit to help find the leak...

Checked for vacuum leak, none found however, the car now starts fine and idles but there is a slight surge, after it warms up, the surging is more prominent, after about 10 minutes, it shuts off and won't restart until it cools off for a couple of hours.
