How to reset airbag light in 2005 jeep grand cherokee

I believe that it needs to be reset at a dealer..


You don't reset the airbag light. You will have to fix the problem and then the light will dissapear.

Toitoine is correct. Each time the vehicle is started the airbag system runs a self diagnosis. If a problem is found within the system the airbag light stays on. Once you shut off the engine the airbag computer is cleared. Then when you start the vehicle again the cycle is repeated. It must be fixed in order for the light to go out. With the light on the airbags will NOT deploy. Even in a collision. HTH. -Jim
