a 2.0 liter engine can be bought for 750.00 used, or 2000.00 reman'd with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty according to www.car-part.com.. shop prices will vary but someone should be able to do the swap for you for 600.00 if shop around.

the 3.0 is about 2300 for the reman engine and 1000.00 for the used engine and labor is as stated above.

Fyi Ford Taurus and for escape are the same 3.0 liters so if you're looking for a new motor search for both usually the Taurus is cheaper because it isn't a car police drive really.. but the escape is a well known car for the older police fleet. Hope this helps somehow or someone
