Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1995 jeep Cherokee se isn't starting
with the key. Its a standard. I can arc the
starter and it'll turn over all day long but
when I can get it to crank it will run for a
while and then it'll die. Every time it dies it
blows the same 30 amp fuse in the block
under the hood. It's the engine control fuse.
The larger of the two designated engine
control.

Sound,s like it may be a bad igintion switch, this would cause it not to crank over as you said, and would all so blow the fuse.

After a new fuel pump, a new ignition switch, and a new coil, and a button rigged to the starter it seems to be okay.
