How can I tell if my PT has interference motor?

You mean PT Cruiser? The 2.4L is what they call a semi-interference. If a timing belt breaks the valves will not hit pistons, but MAY collide with each other with a DOHC and intake and exhaust try to open at same time if belt breaks at high speed.
