my 1999 Chevy 1500 LS 3 door runs fine but when I accelerate it hums really loud. It sounds like an airplane taking off. It did not do it before. what could be the problem?

It really sounds very loud. It drives fine though.

Wheel bearing. if it gets louder with speed 100% wheel bearing just to double check though get it upto about 40-50 miles per hour and (safely with no cars around) steer to one side of the road and then the other it should get louder one way and slightly quieter the other
