01 DODGE RAM 1500 5.2L drove through some water a week ago since then i have a sqeuling like noise any suggestions ?

drove through some water now i have a squeal like noise parts replaced altenatore & idler
pulley 1 yr ago clutch fan 6 months ago automatic belt tensioner a week ago oh & belt 8
months ago also tried to move water pump shaft only a couple thousands of movement
???

It could be that there was some fuel or oil in the water and it got on the belt when you went through it, sometimes wire brush cleaning will cure this problem, if that don't work then use a piece of hose and try to locate where the noise is being generated, possibly something you replaced has excessive end play, like you were doing with the water pump.

Good Call t-shoes. (^_^) Also alternator pulley, look at it while running and all pulleys for that matter check for wobbles. The with engine off wiggle them with your hand. You don't even have to loosen the belt,

Thanks on both answers have tried all three even took belt off & tried moving pulleys hate to change waterpump if not needed
