Yes and if the 1997 is a vin m car it might just hook straight up. Plug and play. The vin m was a stock 3.1 in 1997.

Hey dandyoun, what's a vin m car? They r both 3.1's with the dog bone set up. I was told it wouldn't work. Maybe the guy was trying to sell me a different engine.
