Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Hello everybody we are two young European partners, planning to go cross-road USA
this June for 6 month. we are looking to buy a used car and in need for some advice on
what you think would be best to get.we want something reliable, that doesn't take too
much gas, that can take long long long drives and we can sleep in the back (take out
the back seats or a station car) we would love to hear from you what is popular in the
US market and  what would be a good budget for car of this type.
thank for all who answers

A Chevy Aveo5 might work for you. We have a 2011 Hatchback model as a delivery vehicle. Very comfortable and reliable. Ours has just under 80,000 miles on it already and it's been trouble free. The front seats recline and the back seats fold down. We also have, at my job, a 2008 Chevy HHR. That might work as well. Just DON'T get the panel (no side rear windows) one! It's impossible to see when changing lanes and merging into traffic. Get one with windows. Much better! Ours has 120,000 on it and the only issue has been recent. The exhaust system needed a repair. It's also very reliable and is like a station wagon. Great gas mileage too. HTH. -Jim
