My 2008 dodge nitro won't stay started bought a battery installed it started at first battery drained and won't start again nothing will go on as far as lights won't turn on either

if your not getting a charge from the alternator, you'll run from the battery power till drained, about an hour or more. it needs constant charging to keep afloat
