how do I detect mileage fraud?

Run a vehicle history report such as carfax, autocheck, etc. Any mileage discrepancies will show up there. If the vehicle has the rolling numbers type of odometer look for silver lines in between the numbers. This is a sure sign that it's been tampered with. HTH. -Jim
