There's a difference in size, horsepower and torque. The 2004 had a 5.3L with 300 HP and 335 ft lb of torque. In 2005, they put in a 6.0L, increasing the horsepower by 90 and the torque by 70 hoping to increase sluggish sales. In 2006, the model with automatic transmission is reported to have 395 HP and the manual is reported to have 400 HP. I'd say if you have a choice, get the 2006! Hope this is helpful.
