Ford festiva runs good in park but dies in drive.

My 1992 fuel injected festiva idles
fine runs fine but when in forward
gears it dies at a stop and surges
when starting out. Does fine in
reverse and goes great when going
down the road

It dies because your idle gets too low. How many miles? When was the last time you replaced filters, plugs, etc?

All filters and plugs new the only thing I can think of it being at this point is a sensor
