who is going to take the place of the American cars? that's an almost impossible to answer question. for 1 unless the company is willing to put multiple plants in the states, then Americans wont want to buy it. and if even one of the American companies survive (ford) then im sure they will be set for life should the other 2 die. there is Toyota and Subaru presence here very strongly now. but not enough to take over where Chrysler, or GM is sitting.
the american cars arent going anywhere. and there isnt a single company that could replace them.
GM and Ford seem to be still strong as ever.. none will take a company's spot. they will just compete; different identities.
