Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 Chevy 1500 4x4 ext cab that was hit
in the rear by an SUV the frame is beyond repair I
am about to buy a 2003 gmc 2500 4x4 4 door and
put my motor trans front end and rear end will it fit
easy and work

The engine and trans might fit but the rear axle will not. In my state that engine swap would be illegal but check your states laws.

You may need to use drive shaft from a 1500 crew cab the GMC 4 door is longer than the Chevy ext cab also you will need the ecu from the 99 to control the engine and trans in the 03 2500. 3/4 ton trucks come with LQ4 6.0 liter and 4L80 transmission. If it was me get a LQ9 and transmission with ecu from a wrecked Escalade The 2500 weighs a bit more than 1500. Good luck
