Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2010 Lexus RX350 suv has 165,000 miles and
needs both intake and exhaust timing gears dealer
says st cost of $3600. Is is worth fixing? I love the
cat but don’t want to be facing more repairs in the
future costing thousands. I did have a 2005 RX 250
before this car with 300,000 on it and it is still going
strong. Grandson has it. If I trade it in as is the trade
in value is $2500.

Personally I wouldn't bother fixing it. That money can be used towards a newer Lexus! Hope that helps! Jim
