I would like to take my 5.8 out and out put a 5.0
motor what computer modifications will I need

A old school 5.0 or the new 5.0? Whatever engine you install will need the correct ECU in order to run. You will probably run into a lot of complications. A 5.0 is really not a good choice for a 1 ton truck.
