Troubleshooting fuel system Chevy tahoe

Asked by Shjonmc Jun 30, 2020 at 02:24 AM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 2000 Chevy Tahoe limited, 5.7. my engine
starts up Everytime I prime it, but it won't stay
running. I've switched out relays which changed
nothing and it sounds to me like the pump is
running. Yesterday I tried replacing the fuel filter,
but had the wrong one so I put it back together.
Any suggestions on where I might go from here.
Thank you. Shjon

you can check the fuel pressure by hooking up a gauge to your fuel rail. when you get the correct fuel filter try blowing through your old one to see if you can. It sounds like a fuel issue for sure
