hi guys.
i have an old beetle,only runs on cylinder 1 and 2,3 and 4 does not seem to get fuel,checked spark on all 4 cylinders,swoped spark plugs,check and set point gaps,checked firing order with ignition timing,cleaned the carb,removed intake tubes and cleaned them out,still it only runs on cyl 1@2.have any of you maybe had some simular faults?

Run a compression test. It could be a valve problem. Hope that helps! Jim

Thanks Jim.wil do and post feedback when i'm done. If i can mange to let the engine run at low rpm the exhaust pipes at cyl 3 & 4 are cold,when reving engine at +-2500 rpm they tend to warm up but when leaving engine to idle it cuts out.
