Electrical Problem cranks but won't start
Hi. I have a 2007 Ford Bantam Rocam. It
cranks but won't start. I discovered that I
might have some electrical problems with
the ignition system. I tested both the crank
and Cam sensors using a multimeter. I first
tested resistance and both sensors are
within spec. I then tested for voltage on the
connectors. Crank sensor voltage is 5V
connector unplugged. Cam sensor is 0.05V
connector unplugged. Crank sensor is
300mV connector plugged and Cam sensors
is 0V connector plugged. I then checked for
AC voltage. With engine cranking Crank
sensor produced 100mV and Cam sensor
0V. Crank sensor is working fine as I do get
spark and injection Pulse. I checked for a
short to ground on the camshaft sensor
wiring and there's no short. Both sensors
are brand new bought from Ford. Should I
get 5V on Cam sensor connector?
