06 Malibu won’t start

2006 Chevy Malibu turns over, won’t start and
backfires.  New throttle body, spark plugs, fuel
pump, timing chain and balancing done as well on
a 2.2 eco tech

Backfiring is a sign that the timing is off. I would double check the timing marks on the timing gears to make sure everything is lined up. Number 1 would need to be on TDC on the compression stroke.
