Yikes! If that is an adjustable wheel bearing, there is a procedure for torqueing them down. The bearing is to be carefully packed with high temp grease. After assembly on the hub, turn the wheel while torqueing 200 ft/lbs to seat the bearing, then back it off 1/8 turn, put the lock ring on. Loose is better than too tight. Must turn freely.
