2008 GT500 4.6 SUPERCHARGED AS I approach redline in first car shuts down and backfires???

Sounds like a crank sensor malfunction or a sensor grounding problem, does the check engine light come on when this happens? It might be worth your time to get the codes pulled.

That tells me that there is an interruption in the ignition system, still might be worth checking the codes. If nothing is there you can start checking for loose connections and bad grounds. Or you can take it to a dealer to see if there is a software update.
