lowering ssr top

am having problems lowering the convertible top . it starts ouut ok but when toh cycle needs to unlatch from the roof it sends the cycle into a roof cycle timeout. have exchanged the battery which did not help.. is there a quick fix for this

I know it sounds funny; however, make sure you have the Air Conditioning turned OFF when working the top!

That sounds crazy but is exactly what it took to make mine work!
