I have a 98 Ranger 4wd ext cab, its got 2 lifts and 33x12.50 tires and a little 3.0 turning them, i want to go with a 5.0 auto trans..any suggestions

Hi, I have a 98 Ford Ranger, 3.0 auto. 2 lift kits and 33x12.50 tires. I want to put a 5.0 auto trans, the truck is a ext. cab.  I could use some suggestions.
