99 F150 air conditionr air conditioner blows fine but blows cold air for a few seconds then hot and cannot get it to cold again unless motor is killed then does same thing

Sounds like a low charge condition. Low pressure safety may be disabling the compressor due to low refrigerant. For a 99, seals may be failing and losing system charge which is pretty typical. They sell gauge kits at any automotive store to check pressures. You're probably going to need a few cans of 134A refrigerant and a seal conditioner.
