Would like to put front wheel drive in my very small car

I'm not going to say it can't be done, but the fabrication costs will be huge converting a rear wheel drive classic like this into a front wheel drive system. Personally I'd put that money into restoring it. I thought they were cute vehicles especially the wagons.

Your little wagon isn't worth much, it's more of a novelty car. If you put forty grand into restoration, you might be able to sell it for half that..... Long ago, I saw a lot of cars like this converted into dragsters and any small block V8 was fitable. So why not convert yours... But not what you plan. You could make this a really nice electric car with motor in either end and then you'd have lots of room for batteries. it'll still be costly, but its novelty value WILL go up. I helped a friend convert a "69 Corvair like this.

Yes I agree with you both I have thought about the EV .My idea for front wheel drive had a lot to do with setting up front suspension I know what ever i do the donor will have to be narrowed any ideas.
