Engine swap no crank no start

Asked by Bubba Aug 22, 2018 at 10:22 PM about the Honda Civic Hatchback

Question type: Car Customization

Swapped a b18a1 into my 97 civic hatchback, will not
crank or even click at main relay. Asuming its something
problematic due to going from obd1 to obd2

Do you have a large ground from the a engine and transmission bolt to the body? If not use a booster cable to hook it up temporarily. You can swap obd1 and 2 computers back and forth with adapter harnesses for the ecu so I doubt the main wiring harness is the problem, you've probably just missed something small yet important.
