I'm rebuilding a 1987 Oldsmobile 98!!! But instead of going back with the 3800 I want to go with a 5.3l fwd from a impala!!! Any inputs on this are most welcome. Any installation wisdom welcome

Are you planning on transferring the electronics? An '87 model is OBD I. A '96 and newer engine is OBD II. Completely different computer systems. HTH. -Jim

Yes going to change the computer and wire harness was wondering about the motor mounts and if I will have to cut the fire wall
