The alternator in this car is bad. Could I drive it to a new
destination with a new battery and a bad alternator??

Close but no... it won't run with a dead battery and with an alternator thats not charging it won't run, you'd want to have a chase vehicle and a set of booster cables. Turn everything you can off and when the car dies youll need your chase vehicle to charge your battery then start it while its still hooked up, however long you charge for will probably only get you about half that time driving. Been there done that!
