It depends entirely on the specifics and condition of the car. Is the title clean? Is the car mechanically sound -- has it ever been wrecked; has it had maintenance performed regularly? If the car has not been cared for, it will be no end of trouble to you.

Any car that has a good history, engine and transmission, and all the interior works inc. the A/C is worth $3000.
