Car jolting when going up to the next RPM

Asked by Cynthia Jun 07, 2018 at 07:30 PM about the 2007 Ford Fusion

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Ford Fusion and recently it has
started to jolt as I am accelerating into higher
speeds. I am hoping this is not a transmission
issue? I am not familiar with cars and I'm hoping
that it is something minor and easy to fix. If anyone
has any advice or information about such issues
with the 07 fusions I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you!

Would have the obd scanned for any pending codes. Could be anything from low transmission fluid level to internal speed sensor issue within the transmission. Defunct throttle bodies can also cause weird issues as well. That is something you can have a look at yourself and if dirty use some CRC throttle body cleaner on that. Good Luck!

transmission is down shifting or you need transmission fluid when car is warm check transmission fluid it also should be red or cherry color
