Intermittent Cruise Control

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1996 Callista Cove RV built on a E-350 Ford that has intermittent cruise control problems.  It was fine until
I first took it in for the recall due to fires being caused by a defective switch.  I now have had 4 of the recall "stubs"
installed and it has been a problem from the first one.  Sometimes the cruise control works until you turn the
engine off.  To get it working again I "twist/move" the wiring.  It will then work for awhile and quit again.  I've had it
worked on four times now to no avail.  Any pointers on how I might pinpoint the problem?

Take it back to the dealer who did the recall repairs and tell them the problem started after they worked on it. Let them fix it since they did it.

I did that. Though they an "authorized" Ford facility they told me that they did not have the diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot the problem. They also do not believe it is the "stub" that alledgely corrected the original problem with a "hot" switch in the cruise control circuit.
