1991 Dodge Ram 150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Dodge Ram 150 Stick Shoft and the front
passenger brake I found was really hot and it was
pulling the truck to the right and wanting to jump
when i hit a certain speed. When I hit my brakes it
then wants to go left. I am guessing the pulling is
due to the passenger brake being slightly engaged.
It was driving fine all day and all of a sudden before
i went to work it was like it just decided to lock up
on me. How can I fix this problem and what can i
do to stop this from happening again?

The piston in the caliper could be seizing up, however...Your caliper also has pins it travels on. It's not uncommon for those pins to seize up over the years. Depending on your budget, you can either rebuild the caliper housing, careful, the piston seals are not friendly to newcomers in the war that is hydraulic seal replacement. Your best bet is to just replace the entire caliper.
