Dodge Ram 1500- 1998 Carbuerator

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My accelerator pedal has no spring back to it.  I hit a deer three days ago and I think the lever on the carburetor finally snapped as a result of the impact, or the cable must have come off the accelerator.  Cables at the carburetor seem loose and sloppy.  I know the issue is in here someplace but any advice as to how to go about figuring this out....I cant find a decent picture of the carburetor to see if anything may have broken....And I cant find anything actually missing on the carburetor....but the cables are loose and don't have much tension

There is a small grooved pulley on the carburetor that the accelerator wire wraps around. There was enough stretch in the cable to allow the wire to slip out of the groove leaving very little ability to accelerate due to the looseness of the wire. I wrapped the wire back around the pulley then removed the excess slack from the cable. Works fine now.
