Tow package on a 2001 Dodge Ram

I purchased a trailer for my husband the trailer has an electric brake system, my truck came with the factory tow package. Is there an electric brake system adjustment box to adjust the brake pressure for the trailer? There is no switch under the dash.

hi some times the dealer will put on the ele. brake box. the box should be 1" x 3" and have an ajustable slide or knob you can turn-usually they will have an led light on them also. factory tow package does not come with box from dodge-they are aftermarket. hope this helps

Only the new Ford F-350s have the electronic brake controller built in. In your case you will need an electronic brake controller box and to wire it to your plug in the back.

Actually, I found out that the new Silverado HDs have this as an option too, but still, it would not have been factory equipment on your truck.
