I have a 2006 dodge ram pick up and every time I turn on my truck and take off it is stuck in gear it takes forever to pick up speed so I turn off my vehicle and I reset my computer and it'll work
I had a similar problem....the trans filter was clogged and when I turned off the engine...the fluid ran out of the filter and the trans worked fine for a while and then the same thing. Cheapest way to check things over first is...ck fluid level, when was the last trans service performed. When you drive it next time, before shutting it off, let off the throttle and see if it upshifts. Let us know if it does/doesn't for more'' diagnosis without vehicle''. Hope this helps.
It won't upshift it'll stay in the same gear till I pull over and reset the computer
Sorry bud but I guess it will take a scan to start to see what's going on.
