Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi i have a 2006 buick rendevous. Just recently i
pulled it my local bank, and turned the vehichle off.
When i attempted to start it again, the engine
would turn make a gargling sound like an upset old
man whom i offended and turn itself on. I have
allowed it to sit for 5 min and attempted again turn
the key to the start position and allowing it to sit
for the fuel to engage, then started, same sound. I
also attemped the same motion but then pressing
on the gas peddle just a slight bit and turn the key.
No dice. I am not sure what step to do next except
get it towed. Any idea what this could be?

It's hard to make a guess based on such a description, so take these suggestions with a grain of salt: 1) Starter (grinding if starter pinion not meshing with flywheel). 2) Fuel pump. 3) Timing chain (least likely, but if it's jumped you'll hear some not-so-nice noises from engine. Best to tow it to a repair garage rather than your home, otherwise you'll have to pay for a second two to get it fixed, unless you plan to do the work yourself.
