i got a 92 f150 single tank ,the fuel pump wont kick on,at the harness im
getting 8 and 6 volts consent on two wires when i turn the key ,its not getting
the three second burst of 12 volts ,please help
Maybe a bad harness.
It should be battery voltage at the pump, check the fuel pump relay, sometmes the internal points burn and won't handle any load, you could also jumper the relay just too check for power all the way back to the pump connector. Also check the cut off switch, they are know to burn the connector up. HTH
i am pertty sure the relays are good .em shut off switch is good and the tank selector switch im getting 12volts now but not at the harness
Take the test light and puncher the wire with the sharp end of test light close to harness if it reads 12 volts take test light end and test the same end that goes into where harness goes to pump assembly this will let you know if power is going through harness.
