door lock on the driver side locks by its self

Asked by Apr 01, 2014 at 12:32 PM about the 1998 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my 1998 F150 power door lock drops down to the lock position on its own.

1 Answer

Is it dropping into the lock position by gravity or is the electrical lock engaging causing the door to lock? Some vehicles lock the doors automatically when the engine is running and you shift out of park.
