79 f150 wont start now

Question type: General

Was driving the truck hit a tree stump which knocked the battery out of its tray and broke
a end off the starter solenoid got new starter solenoid but it will not even try to kick over
now. Checked all fuses there good battery will run head light and interior lights and the
fuel gauge so i have no clue.

I think you may want to check the starter,when battery,slid may have arched,and cylinoid all so,other word,s shorted starter out.

All so if you haven,t all ready,check the fuse,s.

If you hit something that hard to knock a battery out of the tray then it is possible you knocked the the distributor out of time. Check he timing and make sure the distributor didn't move.

thanks for the info will check out the starter and the battery holder never holds the battery down that great i need to get 1 with hooks
