How can I get the engine to stop running when I come to a stop and the turn on when I start up again. My hybrid stopped doing the about 2 month's ago?

The stop/start feature can probably be enable/disabled. Read your owners manual for instructions.

I read that if you have the defrost feature on, the engine will not stop when you come to a stop. I have noticed that that is true.
