2018 Ford Fusion Energi has a roof leak

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My brand new 2018 Ford Fusion Energi has a roof leak. Water is coming in
around the control panel between the sun visors but the dealership can't find
where it is leaking. They have had the car 3 times and say they have tried
everything to replicate the leak but no result. I tell them right where I found
the wet but they don't believe me. The leak still isn't fixed. Has anyone else
experienced this problem? I'm getting sick of this. I made my first payment
on the car today. It is raining tonight and I put tissue paper up between the
visors and on the console to "document" where I find water. So frustrated.

Document all the attempts to find the leak and get the dealers findings in Writing! You may eventually end up with a Lemon claim.

I have the same problem with my 2018 Ford fusion energi and just call the dealership. They have told me that the drains in the sunroof have been known to clog which causes the leak. They are going to try blowing out the drains. I will keep you post.

The drains in the sun/moonroof were in fact clogged. The have been cleared and the leak is gone.

I have the 2018 Fusion Hybrid and had this issue. It went to the dealership once and they ran a hose on it and found no leaks. The moon roof leaked again during heavy rain and I took the car back. They had another look at the car and determined there were parts that needed replacing. Once this was done, the leak never returned.
