Question type: General

they already replaced engine but this problem continues.
Its been over 1.5.  The dealer originally said this shouldn't
happen.  Now after new engine. Continued tests. Ford fix of
longer dipstick.  They say this oil consumption normal.  I
need help

Check the oil more often and top it off or you will damage the engine. The new "normal" is for oil burning engines due to EPA mandated ultra thin oil. You should try using a heavier oil. If Ford specs 0w20 try using 5W20 instead.

I disagree with F_O_R on this. Ford spec is 5w20 for the 5.0 engine and that is what you need to use while it is under warranty. How many miles on your F150?

This problem was happening from the beginning. It was a new truck. They replaced the engine a year ago. It has continued to happen. Last thi g they did was reprogram computer and give me a longer dipstick. At first they said this should not happen. But now that they can't fix they say its normal. As of today. They are starting another oil consumption test. Its a joke.

The longer dipstick is to mask the problem not fix it. I like Ford but would not buy a car or truck with a 5.0.
