Engine died at 75 mph
2007 Yukon XL Denali w/ 6.2. Well maintained
vehicle, stopped for gas, got back on highway.
About a mile later, loud, rapid knocking/ banging
sound from under the hood (sounded like fan was
hitting something), engine dies while at 75 mph.
Drift to shoulder, pop hood, everything looks to be
intact, no fluids on the ground. Wait a few minutes,
crank it and it catches for a few seconds, but
barely, it's obviously struggling to get going, but can
hear loud knocking (like two metal objects hitting
each other) then dies again. Any suggestions?
