2014 chevy captiva no heat, the a/c works, no overheating problems

1. Check radiator coolant level. Really low coolant can prevent it from heating the core properly; a failed thermostat will act similarly. An air bubble in a heater line can block fluid passage and should be purged properly (lots of videos about this on line). 2. The ductwork has blend doors that move to get the temperature to the vent where you want it. The blend/mode door that throttles hot/cold might be stuck on cold because the door actuator is defective. In this case, you may have noticed a tapping sound under the dash from a defective actuator. Try removing the actuator it to see if there's a broken sprocket. Might need replacing.
